I found a mistake in my dissertation the other day. It's not like I spend all my time rereading the thing, but I was using a mathematical formula from my diss in a computer program I'm writing, and it wasn't giving the right answers. It turns out that I left out a crucial set of parentheses.
The holiday coming up will be a good one. I'll be driving up to NoVA for some Tofurky. I will get to see my entire family for the first time since this summer, which is definitely going to be a blast.
Maybe once this semester is over I can get back to updating this blog every once in a while. My life has been pretty busy lately.
I spent last weekend at the national conference of the Society for Music Theory in Boston. Boston was great, seeing and/or meeting everyone was a lot of fun, and the conference was pretty good too. Overall it was a fantastic experience.
